1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Demographix Lab data portal, including DxDatabase, DxChat, and QBuilder (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be of the age of majority (or the age of consent for data processing) in your jurisdiction, or have appropriate authorisation.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your account and profile information and for keeping your credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. The Service

The Service provides access to survey and statistical datasets and AI-assisted tools for discovering, querying, and exporting that data. Availability, features, data coverage, and AI model behaviour may change over time. AI-generated answers may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be independently verified before reliance.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully or in violation of third-party rights;
  • Attempt to re-identify individuals from any aggregated or de-identified data;
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service, or circumvent quotas, authentication, or security controls;
  • Enter sensitive personal data or unlawful content into query fields;
  • Resell or redistribute datasets except as expressly permitted by your plan or a separate written agreement.

5. Plans, quotas, and billing

Access may be subject to subscription plans, usage quotas, and fees described at the point of purchase. Quota, security, and billing records are maintained regardless of your analytics-consent settings.

6. Intellectual property and data licensing

  • The Service, its software, and its compilation of data are owned by Demographix or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.
  • Datasets are made available under the licence terms applicable to your plan.
  • You retain ownership of content you submit (such as queries). You grant Demographix a licence to process that content to operate the Service and, subject to your consent settings and our Privacy Policy, to improve it.

7. Privacy and data protection

Our collection and use of personal data — including audience segmentation and aggregate behavioural analytics — is described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You can review and change your consent settings at any time on your account's Dashboard.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA AND AI OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEMOGRAPHIX WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account via the in-product controls.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the competent courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection rights available to you in your place of residence.
